Job Summary And Qualifications
As a Report Analyst you will work closely with various departments inside the college, gathering requirements, preparing data for presentations as well as performing necessary data exploration and reporting as needed. This person will be responsible for creating reports to track performance and support decision making that impact the business. The ideal candidate is an independent thinker and has a strong background with SQL and relational database concepts proficiency and demonstrated experience with report writing tools.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The ideal candidate is an independent thinker and has a strong background with SQL and relational database concepts proficiency and demonstrated experience with report writing tools.
Core Tasks
- Understanding business stakeholders’ objectives, the metrics that are the most important to them, and how they measure their performance
- Develop reporting utilizing various tools such as SQL, Power BI, HTML or similar tools
- Act as the subject matter expert of business data, database structures and business rules
- Utilize best practices in displaying real-time and massive amounts of data visually and effectively
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to determine and implement technical solutions to meet business requirements
- Find and understand the correct data sources for a given analysis
- Create technical documentation for necessary reporting and data requests on an as-needed basis
- Train analysts and business users on report usage and interpretation 9. Other duties as assigned
- Experience with Microsoft business intelligence tools, techniques, and technologies a plus - SSAS, SSRS & Power BI
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work with different teams and stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analysis, software development or another related field.
- 3 years of relevant experience in a report development, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable role
- 2 years’ experience creating and improving ETL processes
- Ability to write and troubleshoot new and existing PL/SQL, advanced experience working with SQL Server Management Studio highly preferred
- Working knowledge for a programming language, such as but not limited to C#, php, html.
- Experience working with data warehouse
- Proven ability to help guide customers in refining data needs
- Ability to facilitate information and requirements gathering sessions
- Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with teammates when addressing issues delays and other needs
