Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Goal: Manage Main Campus Facility support for campuses in assigned region.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support and engage the CMMS System: Develop and implement preventive maintenance processes and procedures, monitor the system daily for work order request, generate work orders and coordinate work request with assigned campuses as needed, work with local campus facility teams on system training and use, track workflows and ensure completion of work orders.
- Ensure all required building inspections are completed, free of deficiencies and documented with Regulatory Compliance, including all building fire and elevator inspections. Where required, identify source vendors for service and inspection contracts.
- Serve as the Main Campus Facilities first point of contact for building facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC system issues. Work with building owners and building management companies to minimize downtime, ensuring continuity of Galen’s operations.
- Assist campus personnel with emergency maintenance requests.
- Represent the Main Campus Facilities team in the respective Operations’ regional monthly meetings, providing insight on regional campus updates and project status as related to facilities.
- Coordinate and perform facility installations and setups on new and renovated campuses in preparation for campus openings, including setup of a maintenance shop and tool inventory.
- Manage approved capital expenditure maintenance and project request for respective campuses, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
- Work with the Director of Facilities on the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facilities, including preventive maintenance and regular cleaning standards.
- Work with the Director of Facilities in developing annual facility maintenance budgets.
Position Requirements:
- Travel: Approximately 80% to campuses in both the assigned region and throughout the 4 college regions (Atlantic, Mid-America, Texas, West).
- Experience: 5 years’ experience working in a facilities department; knowledge in Maintenance, Construction, Facilities, or other related fields.
- Education: High School Degree. College Degree in a related discipline preferred.
- Knowledge Of:
- Building, MEP and HVAC maintenance, repair, and construction methods and requirements.
- CMMS platforms and database management.
- Team training methods across multiple platforms.
- Construction or Facilities project management.
- Ability To:
- Read and interpret plan drawings and specifications.
- Prepare drawings of proposed work utilizing software programs including Bluebeam Revu.
- Make decisions in accordance with the rules, regulations, and ordinances governing the organization.
- Communicate both written and orally with co-workers, customers, contractors, and vendors individually and in group settings.
- Work cooperatively with contractors, vendors, employees, and various levels of management.
- Comprehend and make inferences from written materials.
- Review and check the work products of others to ensure conformance to standards.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 – 50 pounds.
- Experience and familiarity with commonly used hand and power tools.
- Requires high analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a distributed team setting, with emphasis on excellent customer service.
