Job Overview: Galena Country Tourism is seeking a motivated and creative Brand Advocate to join our team. If you're passionate about tourism, marketing, and promoting a beautiful destination, this is the perfect opportunity! Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Management:
Develop, execute, and oversee social media campaigns to promote Galena Country, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Content Development & Brand Storytelling:
Lead content creation efforts, crafting compelling narratives across social media, websites, newsletters, press releases, and print materials to engage visitors and showcase local attractions.
- Website Management & Updates:
Oversee and regularly update VisitGalena.org to ensure accurate, engaging, and SEO-optimized content.
- Brand Management & Positioning:
Ensure cohesive messaging and consistent representation across all platforms and marketing materials.
- Public Relations & Media Outreach:
Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with local and national media, influencers, and tourism partners. Serve as a key spokesperson for public relations initiatives, press releases, and media inquiries.Write and execute a communications plan for consumer and industry outreach.
- Other:
Perform other marketing and industry duties as needed. GCT is a small team and we work together with the mindset of ‘all hands on deck’ at times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in tourism marketing, content creation, and communications.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, content creation tools, and communication strategies.
- Creative mindset and a desire to learn and grow.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, SEO, and social media management.
- Experience with marketing analytics, budget oversight, and strategy development.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for Galena Country and its local attractions is a plus!
