PRIMARY PURPOSE:Ensures operability of all technology by installing, troubleshooting and repairing all computer hardware, software and related accessories. Maintains technology inventory, provides users with basic operation of technology resources and assists in district-wide deployments where needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to analyze problems and select proper corrective action Good written and oral communications Ability to organize tasks and work independently Ability to diagnose problems in computer hardware, software, and networks Ability to communicate effectively with others Must have demonstrated customer support orientation, be stress tolerant, have effective communications skills, and be adaptable to technological change
Desirable qualifications include knowledge of:

Frequent district-wide travel using personal vehicles; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:1. Works independently under the general direction of the Coordinator of Technology

- Responsible for diagnosing and repairing hardware and software problems and
- Ensure a timely response to technological problems reported by the departments
- Develop and implement routine schedules for maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Recommend and coordinate hardware configurations, and modifications to assure
- Observe and report equipment performance deficiencies, perform equipment repairs, and
- Assist with designing and coordinating physical layout of equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance and assists with routine servicing of equipment before
- Make recommendations for the purchase and use of computer hardware and
