Job Description:We are seeking a Guidewire PolicyCenter Technical Lead to join our team on a contract basis in Urbandale, IA. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, experience leading development teams, and a deep understanding of the P&C Insurance domain. You will be responsible for technical leadership, architecture guidance, code quality, and mentoring developers through the entire software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and QA teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers and junior team members.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding best practices and standards.
- Customize and configure Guidewire PolicyCenter according to business requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis and resolutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, design documents, and unit test cases.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
- 8 years of IT experience with 5 years specifically in Guidewire PolicyCenter implementation and customization.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire Gosu programming, configuration, and integration.
- Strong understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter Data Model, Product Model, and Rating Engine.
- Experience in Guidewire cloud or on-premise deployments.
- Familiarity with integration patterns (SOAP, REST APIs) and third-party system integrations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; experience leading offshore/onsite teams is a plus.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Guidewire Certification in PolicyCenter.
- Experience in other Guidewire products (BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
- P&C Insurance domain knowledge.
- Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
