Title: QA Lead
Location: Reading, PA Onsite
Type of Hire: Full Time
The role
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop Test Strategy Document
• Develop and execute complex test plans consistent with Agile sprint development plans
• Monitor, manage and conduct functional and UI testing for all new features for desktop application and browser testing environments, including testing code of high complexity
• Lead and mentors 2-3 test engineers and be accountable for their productivity and deliverables
• Track Progress of Efforts
• Track Test cases, Defects
• Communicate the status of testing deliverables to the team.
• Participate in the design process to understand, analyze and influence the application/service/system to be tested.
• Identify and manage risks and appropriate test coverage to validate new features as well as regression and develop test plans and cases.
• Lead the team towards automation
• Maintain documentation of test scripts, processes and procedures
• Learn and implement new testing procedures and advanced tools
What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of Application Testing experience
• Experience in preparing Test Planning, Test Strategy, Effort Estimation, Defect Management, Metrics, Test Automation Plan
• Experience in managing team members in global setting (onshore/offshore)
• Knowledge and understanding of GUI designs, load or stress testing, Designing test suites
• Experience in Zephyr, LoadRunner and JMeter
• Experience in Test Automation
• Knowledge of development including coding, basic SQL knowledge to extract data for tests, XML, general web development skills, and web services
• Advanced understanding of technology (i.e. OS layer, database layer, application layer, network, etc.)
• Understanding of Agile testing methodologies, DevOps
• Knowledge of how functions will work differently on different browsers and devices
• Ability to both take direction and work independently in owning projects
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule
