Location: Southeastern Pennsylvania (Bucks, Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties)

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 20 – 60 per week

Job Summary
As a Developmental Disabilities Aide, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives. Your primary responsibilities will include providing personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily living activities to ensure the well-being and safety of clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients in mobility, including transfers, walking assistance, and use of mobility aids.
- Encourage and facilitate social activities and community integration.
- Assist in meal preparation and ensure dietary needs and preferences are met.
- Provide light housekeeping, such as laundry, tidying living spaces, and organizing belongings.
- Monitor and document changes in clients’ physical, mental, or emotional conditions and report to supervisors.
- Assist with medication reminders and support clients in following treatment plans.
- Accompany clients to appointments, outings, and recreational activities to promote independence.
- Implement behavioral support plans in coordination with healthcare providers and families.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in home care, direct care, or disability services preferred.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift, move, or support clients safely as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient approach.
- Ability to follow individualized care plans and work independently.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Must pass a criminal background check as per state regulations.
Shifts Available
- 10-hour, 12-hour, 8-hour, 4-hour shifts
- Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight shifts available
- Workdays may include weekends, rotating shifts, or flexible scheduling based on client needs.
