Job Description
As an Elderly Care Provider, you will assist seniors in maintaining their independence and improving their quality of life by providing essential care and companionship. Your role is crucial in ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Administer prescribed medications and follow care plans as directed
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health conditions
- Assist with mobility support, transfers, and positioning
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, tidying up, dishwashing)
- Provide transportation for errands, appointments, and social activities
- Maintain detailed documentation of care provided and report concerns to supervisors
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Experience in elderly care, home care, or healthcare (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
