We are currently hiring Home Care Support Specialists—individuals who are dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing daily assistance to those in need. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting clients with personal care tasks and promoting their independence in a home setting.
Position Overview:
As a Home Care Support Specialist, your role is to deliver essential home care services to clients who require support due to age, disability, or illness. Your efforts directly improve the comfort, dignity, and quality of life for individuals living in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and safety monitoring
- Help with mobility support such as transfers, walking, or repositioning
- Support with medication reminders and assistance (as directed by healthcare professionals)
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and observations of client condition
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and agency staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in home care, direct support, or healthcare environment is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility in work location preferred
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and health assessments per Pennsylvania home care regulations
- Compassionate, patient, and motivated to help others live independently
Compensation and Scheduling:
- Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract
- Pay Range: $12.00 – $18.00 per hour
- Expected Hours: 20 – 60 hours per week
Shifts Available:
- 4-hour, 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
- Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight
- Weekdays, weekends, rotating weekends
