We strive to deliver the highest quality care to our clients and are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Individual Support Aides to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting individuals with disabilities or special needs, helping them live more independently and participate fully in their communities.
Position Summary:
As an Individual Support Aide, you will provide one-on-one, person-centered support to individuals in their homes or community settings. You will assist with daily living activities, skill development, companionship, and promote community inclusion while ensuring the client’s safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with developmental, physical, or mental health challenges
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
- Support clients in completing household tasks like cooking, cleaning, and laundry
- Accompany clients to appointments, recreational activities, or community events
- Encourage the development of social, communication, and life skills
- Assist with behavior support strategies when needed
- Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and changes in condition
- Follow person-centered service plans and communicate effectively with care teams
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for each individual
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct care, home health, behavioral support, or special education is preferred
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others
- Ability to follow written care plans and directions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required clearances
