As a Respite Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing temporary relief to primary caregivers, ensuring that their loved ones receive safe, compassionate, and attentive care in their absence. This position is ideal for individuals who have a genuine passion for helping others, providing support and companionship to those in need.
Responsibilities:
- Provide temporary relief care for clients in need of supervision and assistance.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and engagement in activities that promote well-being.
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure the client’s safety and comfort in their home environment.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring dietary preferences are followed.
- Support clients with mobility and positioning, including walking assistance and transfers.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas, laundry, and dishwashing.
- Accompany clients to appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Monitor clients’ physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to designated personnel.
- Follow individualized care plans and schedules provided by family members or healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in respite care, home care, or direct care is highly preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Patience, compassion, and a commitment to providing quality care.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately.
- Must be comfortable with assisting individuals with varying levels of mobility and cognitive ability.
- Must pass a criminal background check and reference verification.
- Reliable transportation is preferred for travel to client locations.

Pay Rate:
- $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected Hours:
- 20 – 60 hours per week
Shifts Available:
- 4-hour, 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts
- Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night, and Overnight shifts available
- Weekday and Weekend shifts
- Flexible scheduling options, including rotating and as-needed weekend coverage
