We are currently looking for a Short-Term Support Aide to provide temporary, yet essential care and assistance to individuals in need during transitional or urgent care situations. This role is ideal for professionals who want flexible opportunities and are passionate about delivering high-quality support in short-term care assignments.
Position Summary:
As a Short-Term Support Aide, you will step in to provide non-medical assistance and emotional support to clients who need care on a temporary basis — such as after hospital discharges, caregiver vacations, or during health recovery periods. You’ll play a vital role in helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide temporary personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal prep, and general tidiness
- Monitor and report changes in client behavior or health to supervisors
- Support mobility and safe ambulation within the home
- Help with medication reminders as directed
- Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols
- Maintain documentation and timely communication with agency staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in home care, caregiving, or a related support role preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and client needs
- Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Reliable transportation to travel across southeastern PA counties
- Ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights as needed
Requirements:
- Current state-issued ID or driver’s license
- Must pass background check and required screenings
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Willingness to travel within our 113 township/borough service area
- Reliable communication and punctuality for scheduled shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, Contract
Pay: $12.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
