Operations Associate β Job Description
Our firm, a recently established Broker /Dealer fully owned by an international public listed financial conglomerate, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Operations Specialist. As an Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our firm. You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including trade settlement, account maintenance, and client support.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute trade settlement process for client accounts
- Oversea and manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle, including trade confirmation, allocation, and settlement.
- Liaise with clearing firms, custodians, and counterparties to ensure timely trade settlement.
- Support the account transfer process (ACATS) and manual transfers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate with clients and resolve any trade-related inquiries or issues
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Review and reconcile account statements, ensuring accuracy of transactions
- Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, including account setup, documentations and ensuring compliance with Know your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Update and Maintain client account records, including changes to account settings, contact information, and beneficial details.
- Work closely with the compliance team to ensure adherence to industry regulations
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports
- Monitor and analyze trading activities, identifying any potential risks or anomalies
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational processes and efficiency
- Provide exceptional support to clients, answering any questions or resolving any issues in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry
- Solid understanding of trade settlement processes and industry regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Highly organized and capable of multitasking
- Knowledge of financial markets and investment products is a plus
- FINRA licenses Series 99, Ability to obtain SIE and Series 7 in the first year
