Each Internship position is a 12 week (May – August), in-person, full-time, paid position based out of our Thornton, IL Headquarters.
Gallagher Asphalt is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering or Construction Management student for a summer internship within our Construction Department. This hands-on opportunity involves planning, scheduling, and managing projects in asphalt paving, milling, concrete and dirt work. Responsibilities include supporting daily field and office operations in the construction department, performing field measurements, coordinating subcontractor schedules, tracking quantities, contributing to process improvements for KPIs, gathering IDOT closeout documents, and managing trucking and material certifications. This internship will offer valuable insights into the construction industry and prepare you for a career in construction or civil engineering.
