Overview
Oversees the development and launch of new products and services as well as supporting feature enhancements on existing products and services. Coordinates with relevant control partners to ensure product offerings are designed and implemented in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
How You'll Make An Impact
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and communicating the value proposition for both new products and enhancements on existing products/services; Analyzing and evaluating new product performance metrics and provides ongoing feedback for continuous improvements; Advising others in the launch of new products and in the evaluation and decision to buy/build or partner; Generating and managing a dynamic product development pipeline; Maintaining knowledge of business and tracking performance for products in scope including trends, results, etc.; Educating, guiding and supporting sales and account management teams on how to effectively discuss new products and services with the clients; Analyzing internal and external data to support formulation of product strategy and enhance competitive intelligence.
- Developing and implementing strategic partnerships that enhance our products
- Building relationships with Gallagher partners (e.g., GBS regional leaders, producers, Pools, Captives, centers of excellence) to generate product demand, obtain market feedback, and refine products and services
- Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Engineering (or commensurate experience) and 7 years related product development experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Deep knowledge of group health self funded markets
- Extensive experience in product design, development, management, and go-to-market strategy development and execution
- Experience conducting research, compiling and analyzing data, and identifying trends that support product decisions.
- Excellent oral, negotiating, influencing and written communication ability. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong creative and interpersonal skills.
