How you'll make an impact
- Provide producers, account managers and clients with timely and accurate analyses of current regulations and legislative initiatives that affect client benefit plans and programs.
- Provide clients with well-researched recommendations leading clients to take appropriate actions to confirm to changes in the legislative or regulatory environment.
- Develop annual compliance goals for the internal Branch compliance team.
- Provide direction and oversight for the compliance team relating to new projects and well as day-to-day activities.
- Interprets source material and provides guidance and advice to branch staff and teams.
- Assists producers and account managers in developing appropriate action steps to assure legal and regulatory compliance.
- Conducts internal employee training on selected legislative and regulatory topics, as required or warranted.
- Works with internal Counsel to prepare prototype documents, information summaries, forms, model letters, communication, plan collateral, and other consulting tools needed to support consultants, accounts managers and clients.
- Provide assistance in drafting, editing and producing any newsletters and technical bulletins/communication materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with client contacts and board members in the capacity as a trusted advisor.
- Prepare or assist in preparation of all board materials for trust clients and attend client board meetings as directed.
- Travel, as required, for client service and relationship management.
- Assist in RFP responses and prospect proposal deliverables, as requested.
- Review client Form 900, 5500, annual audits and actuarial studies, as applicable.
- Ability to take full ownership over tasks, projects and initiatives; demonstrate the ability to critically think and problem-solve.
- Other duties may be assigned.
About You
Required
- Bachelor’s degree, professional certification, or equivalent training and experience
- 10 years related experience
- Multi-level relationship building skills, internally and externally
- Strong communicator at all levels
- Must be available to work “core” business hours, Monday through Friday plus any additional hours required to fulfill the essential duties of the role
- Strong project management ability
- Ability to adapt approach and style to effectively drive for results
- Outstanding Organizational skills and excellent time management skills.
- Travel up to 15% of time

- Technical expertise of Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) consulting products and concepts, keen understanding of accepted compliance principles and regulatory requirements
- Outstanding attention to detail and follow-through on projects and initiatives

- Demonstrate curiosity and commitment for continuous learning and performance improvement
- Seek out performance feedback and opportunities to enhance professional development

- Convey technical knowledge in ways that build trust, credibility and establishes Gallagher as a trusted advisor
- Monitor trends and new legislation that impact clients and communicates issues in a simple and coherent manner
