Overview
Gallagher Re is seeking ambitious, analytical broking to assist our growing treaty broking team in Manhattan. This is a client-facing role in a team environment that involves servicing existing accounts, as well as new business production and new product development.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Take on the responsibility of assisting in the development and execution of investment banking transactions for Gallagher Securities and Gallagher Re. Work closely with clients and senior bankers.
- Be involved in all aspects of transaction analysis and execution, from the pitching/marketing phase to the execution/closing phase.
- Develop financial models, structure transactions, and conduct financial valuation and analysis.
- Work directly with clients' financial officers on various transactions, including advisory work in M&As, origination and execution of equity, debt, and other transactions, both domestically and internationally.
- Play a crucial role in executing the firm's transactions. Take on significant responsibilities such as preparing materials for Confidential Information Memorandums (CIM), leading draft sessions, contributing to and participating in presentations, drafting offering documents, assisting in the execution of debt and equity transactions, and attending meetings with clients.
- Utilize financial services industry databases and tools, including SNL Financial, FactSet, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferably in Finance or any science, technology, Engineering, and/or Mathematics (STEM) field of study.
- Analyzing industry and sector trends, macroeconomic events, and corporate, strategic, and financial developments.
- Building and analyzing financial statement models based on company financial statements.
- Utilizing knowledge of industry developments and market activity to provide advisory services to clients and internal teams regarding structuring financing transactions.
- Analyzing regulatory aspects of financial institutions; structuring, negotiating, and executing commitment papers and documentation while applying market standards as needed for transactions.
- Relationship management to achieve positive outcomes internally and with external clients/stakeholders within the corporate and investment banking industry.
- Project management for M&A and capital market processes to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Must have attained or be able to attain FINRA Series 63 and 79 Licensure within two (2) months of hire.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
