The Opportunity
Gallagher Sharp LLP is looking for a motivated attorney to join the firm's Cleveland office as part of our Professional Liability practice group. This role offers an opportunity for a qualified candidate to join an elite team of well-respected and highly skilled trial attorneys.
Required Qualifications
· An active Ohio law license.
· 3 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal courts.
· Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
· Experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including investigating claims, preparing and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, managing expert witnesses, and motion practice.
· Strong interpersonal skills, including effectively communicating with colleagues, clients, the court, and opposing counsel.
Ideal Qualifications
· Experience defending lawyers against claims of legal malpractice, including knowledge of applicable defenses and the case-within-a-case analysis.
· Experience representing attorneys in grievance investigations and proceedings before the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct and/or other disciplinary agencies.
· Experience with representing lawyer fiduciaries in probate proceedings.
