Job Summary
We seek an experienced Painter to join our team, responsible for executing high-quality painting projects in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the capability to work effectively on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Execute both interior and exterior painting projects for residential and commercial properties.
- Restore and renovate surfaces as needed, ensuring a high standard of finish.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites, including drywall installers and welders.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial and residential painting.
- Familiarity with maintenance person skills related to construction painting and renovation tasks.
- Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of drywall installation techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Able to train and lead a small team of painters.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting materials, and working at heights when necessary.
