Summary: The Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking maintenance, turnaround, and capital projects utilizing the approved project management software used in industrial and construction settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Project Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain detailed schedules for refinery projects (routine maintenance, shutdowns/turnarounds, upgrades).
- Break down work into tasks and assign durations, resources, and dependencies.
Progress Tracking & Updates:
- Update schedules based on actual progress.
- Monitor critical paths, forecast completion dates, and identify delays or issues.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and material resources.
- Ensure optimal resource allocation to avoid conflicts or downtime.
Coordination with Stakeholders:
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and contractors.
- Facilitate planning meetings and communicate schedule status and updates.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Generate reports, charts (like Gantt or S-curves), and dashboards for leadership.
- Provide earned value analysis and other performance metrics.
Compliance & Safety:
- Incorporate safety milestones and permit requirements into schedules.
- Ensure scheduling supports compliance with refinery safety and environmental standards.
When Seconded to a Client, responsibilities include:
- Provide input into the development of the Construction Safety Plans.
- Support project team in the facilitation of constructability reviews including development of estimates with required detail and accuracy based on design information supplied by others.
- Assist with critical review of estimates prepared by engineering and construction contractors for completeness of scope, content and accuracy basis.
- Assists project teams in resolution of issues involving cost providing schedule/resource guidance
- Assist with scheduling maintenance resources required to support Capital Project needs
- Monitor/evaluate project activities are progressing against schedule.
- Facilitates the communication of field changes to the respective groups for resolution.

• Proven experience delivering large, complicated scopes of work, involving a variety of technical disciplines.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and effectively manage multiple/changing priorities.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are required
• Ability to utilize P6 for scheduling and provide resource loaded schedules
• Ability to utilize Power-BI for project reporting and tracking
• Ability to utilize SAP for cost tracking and forecast
• Ability to evaluate contractor estimates for comparison and bid compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software/tools.
• Willingness to travel to field or remote sites as required.

Salary : $124,800 - $139,000
