Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Receives parts from UPS, FedEx, mail and other freight companies
- Delivery parts using Gallatin Motors parts truck
- Verifies parts are in good condition
- Notify shipper of any damage to freight and advise parts office
- Scan freight shipment or check against packing slips
- Accurately post orders to inventory
- Put received parts in their appropriate locations
- Generate and transmit received parts reports for counterperson
- Inform counterpersons of an unusual parts received or any special order parts missing, damaged or backordered
- Take care of invoices and picking tickets coming from the printer and get them to their proper location
- Following information given on invoices and picking tickets as to when, where and which parts need to be shipped/delivered
- Pull parts from stock, holding bins or incoming freight to be shipped.
- Package parts appropriately for shipment
- Verify part number and quantity against invoice
- Distribute parts to customers using contracted freight companies or dealership delivery personnel
- Coordinate deliveries so that customers receive parts in an expedient fashion.
- General core returns, package and ship
- Pull, inspect and ship monthly returns
- Communicate to management, and problems that may occur with customers or inventory
- Assist with parts delivery and departmental maintenance
- Maximize the sales efforts of the parts department by affording exceptional service to our customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid Driver License and clean driving record required.
Salary : $18 - $20
