As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in our company's growth by analyzing the commercial real estate market, identifying key stakeholders, and educating them about our services through email and cold calling. Your primary objective is to set meetings for our brokers with companies that fit our ideal client profile. This full-time (40 hours/week) position is based in our Sacramento office. Remote/hybrid work is not available.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily engage in business development activities, including cold calling, lead generation, and email campaigns.
  • Keep up to date records with detailed notes in our CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
  • Write clear, concise, friendly, and informative emails that are tailored to our prospects and free of spelling and grammar errors.
  • Identify and establish connections with key decision-makers within target organizations to understand their business needs.
  • Perform research and collect information on prospects to customize outreach strategies effectively.
  • Foster relationships with prospects by always seeking to share or provide value first, understanding the importance of building trust and credibility.

Essential Functions:

  • The BDR will utilize a consistent contact attempt process via phone, email and text to reach out, follow-up, nurture and qualify leads. The BDR is expected to make an average of fifty (50) outbound calls and sixty (60) outbound emails per day and connect with a minimum of ten (10) decision makers per week.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or prior success in outside sales, business development, lead generation, or commercial real estate is required. (A real estate license is not required.)
  • Ability to craft clear, concise and persuasive emails with a strong grasp of professional etiquette.
  • Well-spoken and articulate on the phone.
  • Encourage a culture of teamwork and mentorship, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Support the creation of processes within the Business Development Department to enhance overall team performance.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay of $24-$34 per hour based on prior sales experience and qualifications
  • Bonus based on the number of new clients you generate
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance premiums paid 100% by the company to ensure the well-being of our team members
  • 12 paid holidays to include the week between Christmas and New Year's Day and an additional 10 days of paid time off (PTO) days of your choosing to promote work-life balance

Earning Potential:

  • Realistic on-target earnings of $100,000 in the first year, inclusive of base wages and bonus.
  • High-performing individuals can expect to earn over $200,000 in their third year and beyond, with many opportunities for career growth and advancement.
