Litigation Paralegal

Galli Law, PLLC, based in Syracuse, New York, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic team. As a full-service law firm, we specialize in a wide range of legal services, including real estate closings, complex real estate and construction litigation, eviction services for landlords, criminal and DWI defense, traffic ticket representation, uncontested divorces, and LLC/corporation formation. This is an FLSA exempt position with a starting annual salary of $60,500.00 per year.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparation for trials, hearings, and meetings by drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
• Manage case files, including organizing documents and maintaining an effective filing system for easy retrieval of information
• Prepare and review pleadings, discovery documents, and other legal correspondence in compliance with court rules and deadlines
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and manage case-related inquiries
• Assist in the discovery process, including preparing and serving discovery requests and coordinating the production of documents
• Conduct legal research using various online databases to support case strategies and arguments
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits, coordinate logistics for court appearances, and assist attorneys during trial proceedings
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program preferred
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a litigation-focused paralegal role
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court rules
• Proficiency in using legal research tools and software applications such as Westlaw
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey legal concepts and build client relationships
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documentation and filings
