Commercial Construction Superintendent for projects primarily located through-out South Carolina. Must have experience with projects from $8 million and above . Experience in the following areas preferred - K-12, Higher Education, Office Buildings, Hospitality, and general commercial construction. Opportunity due to continued success and growth of the company.
Responsible for all site construction activities including all field and subcontractor personnel as required to successfully complete the project / work on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, coordinating all trade and field personnel, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. Maintains the job site office and closes out projects.Coordinate and supervises all construction activitiesCoordinates all field operations to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications as well as including any change directives / orders while maintaining client satisfactionRecruits and hires within company policies and guidelines as requiredMaintains construction schedule including short interval production schedules, identifies and solve problemsOrders materials and schedules inspections necessary throughout the projectUnderstands Project plans and specificationsMaintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employeesPrepares daily reports, safety reports, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch listPromotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazardsEnsures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy & regulatory requirements, including storm-water complianceMaintains a clean organized job site, including the construction officeConducts weekly progress meetings - invites all tradesReviews job cost reporting and assists PM in maintaining budget controlReviews subcontractor scopes of work and provides feedback to PM prior to contract awardEstablishes staging plans and manages site logisticsCollaborates with PM in scheduling the critical path craft pre-construction meetings prior to mobilizationProvides feedback of reviewed submittals for compliance and coordinationResponsible for quality work being put in place - workflow for crafts, suppliers, employees and third-party contractors.BACKGROUND PROFILE :
Five or more years as a commercial superintendent in ground-up constructionExperience as a superintendent on jobs $8million and aboveExperienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production in all phases of constructionSupervision of large or multiple projectsTravel is required but primarily within the stateOSHA Certification is a plusSafety and CPR Certification is a plusMUST BE A HANDS-ON WITH STRONG LEADERSHIP SKILLSRelocation is available for experienced / skilled candidates
