Essential Requirements :

  • 2 years experience setting up and operating horizontal or vertical machining centers
  • Proven expertise with 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers
  • Proficient in G&M code programming and editing
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling optimization

Key Responsibilities :

  • Edit, set up, and operate CNC machining centers
  • Create complex parts requiring precise tolerances
  • Optimize machining processes for efficiency
  • Perform in-process quality checks
  • Troubleshoot machining issues
  • Maintain detailed documentation of setups and processes
  • Collaborate with subassembly and final assembly teams

    • Technical Skills Required :

  • Advanced G&M code knowledge including :
  • Program control (M00, M01, M30, M99)
  • Spindle operations (M03, M04, M05)
  • Coolant control (M08, M09)
  • Motion controls (G00, G01, G02 / G03)
  • Machine operations (G28, G84)

    • Proficiency in :

  • Multi-axis programming
  • Tool offsetting and compensation
  • Complex part setup and fixturing
  • Program optimization
  • Precision measurement

    • Equipment Experience :

  • Horizontal Machining Centers (HMC)
  • Vertical Machining Centers (VMC)
  • 5-axis simultaneous machining
  • Advanced workholding systems
  • Precision measurement equipment

    • Additional Requirements :

  • Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Standing for extended periods
