We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Proposal Team Manager to lead our team and drive business growth. As the manager, you'll ensure timely delivery of high-quality proposals that win new business. You'll collaborate with technical and business development teams on capture planning, and work with the marketing team to integrate their strategies into a successful proposal program. Your leadership, A / E / C industry knowledge, strong writing skills, and deep understanding of the RFP process will be crucial for expanding our market reach. Ideal candidates possess diverse experience in federal, municipal, and private solicitations within the A / E / C industry, and demonstrate a vision for continuous improvement.

Your Day-to-Day
Leads and develops a high-performing proposal team.
Fosters a collaborative and supportive team environment that supports professional growth.
Collaborates on capture planning strategies with business development, marketing, and subject matter experts.
Translates Galloway's vision and strategy into compelling proposal content.
Oversees development of win themes, differentiators, and key messages.
Ensures high-quality, compliant proposals aligned with client criteria.
Coaches subject matter experts to maximize their strengths.
Leverages technology to improve proposal processes.
Builds strong relationships with subject matter experts for effective coordination.
Identifies relevant solicitation opportunities across multiple disciplines and markets.
Oversees interview preparation and messaging strategies.
Leads post-RFP debriefs and ensures lessons learned are applied.
Tracks proposal pursuits and evaluates ROI.
Acts as liaison between proposal team and other departments.
Provides proposal support as needed.
Requirements
Possesses advanced understanding of the proposal response process.
Possesses advanced knowledge of technical writing principles, practices, and standards.
Analyzes complex issues and uses sound judgment and experience to develop solutions.
Uses effective communication and negotiation skills to guide, influence, and coordinate with others.
Works well within a team environment.
Works effectively under pressure and under challenging deadlines.
Is willing to adjust work schedule as needed to meet deadlines.
Self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Possesses advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
Is detail-oriented and highly organized.
Education / Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, journalism, or equivalent experience through career progression.
APMP or CPSM certification is desirable.
Years of Experience
Ten-plus years of experience in written marketing communications and the proposal response process. Minimum of two years of experience managing proposal teams.
Benefits
The estimated starting base salary for this role is $120,000-$130,000.
