Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our committed team at Galloway Senior Living. The Part Time LPN weekends only or every other weekend 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts will be instrumental in ensuring the health, well-being, and comfort of our residents, while also collaborating closely with our caregiving and nursing teams. The ideal candidate will embody our core values, possess a passion for senior care, and demonstrate adaptability and positivity in their approach to duties.
Responsibilities:
Resident Care
- Administer medication and provide direct nursing care in accordance with established care plans and protocols..
- Monitor residents' health status, document observations, and communicate any changes to the nursing and management teams promptly.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with caregivers and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care for residents.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing insights and observations to enhance resident care plans.
- Foster open communication with residents and their families to address concerns, provide updates on care, and promote a collaborative care environment.
Compliance
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations governing resident care, safety, and documentation.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of caregiving and nursing practices.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN licensure in IL, with a strong commitment to maintaining licensure and continuing education.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to senior care, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, supporting and valuing the contributions of all team members.
