What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Application Specialist position at Galls LLC?
Cash Application Specialist is responsible for applying customer payments in a timely and accurate manner. The applications specialist also performs other various duties to include research, verification, working with various departments both internal and external, processing EFT payments, credit memos, debit memos, credit card payments, and adjustment processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
- Daily processing of payments received through lockbox.
- Processing credit card payments, manual credit card adjustments, and pre-charges to include daily phone communication with internal and external customers.
- Process EFT payments and return checks.
- Process credit/debit memos and customer refund check request.
- Research and solve payment discrepancies.
- Process manual credit card adjustments.
- Account adjustments.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications/requirements:
- High level of organizational skills, integrity and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of MSWord and Excel
- The ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities.
- Able to work in a team environment.
Education/Training/Experience:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school is preferred but not required
- One or more years of related experience preferred, Or equivalent combination of education and experience
