Reporting to the Director of Galt Professional Services, Galt’s Career Placement Specialist is essential to serving Galt’s Mission to provide, promote, and expand employment opportunities for people with disabilities. This position identifies, connects, and develops relationships with community partners; assesses and coaches candidates for employment opportunities; matches candidates with client employers; and ensures the Associates’ success while on assignment. This is a fully remote position, except when travel is required as described in the essential duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Identify and nurture community partner relationships, building trust in Galt as we continue the candidates through a new career journey.
  • Administer and interpret candidate assessments to provide custom coaching while matching with suitable employment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure that the associate’s needs and accommodations are met in the workplace.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to associates while on assignment.
  • Conduct periodic check-ins with associates and client representative to ensure a positive working relationship throughout assignment.
  • Develop and deliver presentations outlining Galt Professional Services’ offerings for both community partners and potential clients.
  • Travel for job fairs, events/conferences, client site tours, and community partner or client meetings (approximately 25% or less).
  • Strong understanding of the nonprofit and community partnership ecosystem, particularly organizations focused on workforce development for individuals with disabilities and other overlooked talent. Ability to navigate how these organizations collaborate and support shared employment goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required education and experience: 
    • A Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related experience
    • At least 2 years in staffing, human resources, or talent acquisition
    • At least 2 years in relationship development utilizing multiple channels of prospecting. (Phone, email, social media, etc.)
    • Ability to travel within an assigned territory; must have access to a reliable motor vehicle with a satisfactory driving record
  • Required technical qualifications:
    • Intermediate MS365 computer skills
    • Bullhorn software experience is an asset

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES:

Ability to navigate and use common office equipment and technology, including laptop, printer, and other workplace tools.


Operate a computer and perform work on a computer for extended periods of time. 


Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.


Ability to move in and around office setting, client and community partner locations as well as event centers.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Remote office environment. Ability to work remotely and willingness to work on-site when required. This role uses standard office equipment.
