Compliance Specialist (Pharmaceutical)

Galt Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly motivated and self-starter Compliance Specialist!
This is a full-time salaried role with medical benefits, paid time-off and holiday pay benefits. We offer a hybrid, coworking and flex office space environment. Our office space is in the Atlanta – Cumberland Vinings vicinity. Galt offers a 4-day work week, 36 hrs. (Monday thru Thursday with Friday off!!) and in this role, you will be required to work in the office space a minimum of two days per week.
The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all activities associated with compliance administration across the Operations and Franchisee Business Units. Responsibilities include negotiating, writing, monitoring and evaluating contracts including ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations as well as county policies. The Compliance Specialist will also be responsible for overseeing all licensures, distributor and wholesaler agreements, government contracts, franchise documents, etc. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid contracts highly preferred.
The incumbent must be able to work in a past-faced environment, managing multiple priorities with a sense of urgency. Must be an independent self-starter with a demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines and achieve key deliverables. Candidates with a Compliance background in the pharmaceutical industry are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews government contracts, contract terms and conditions, and franchise documents to verify that they are in compliance with Company policies and all applicable federal, state and county regulations.
- Reviews each state’s reporting requirements and coordinates with other staff members to ensure reports are submitted on time.
- Reviews, edits, and prepares draft legal documents including contracts, notice letters, amendments, requests for information and general legal correspondence.
- Proofreads, edits, and verifies legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Manages contract change requests, amendments and extensions.
- Maintains accurate contract records and documentation.
- Actively maintains comprehensive trackers for active leases, contracts, NDAs, licensures, corporate documentation, and other documents, as necessary.
- Ensures all relevant licensures are updated in a timely manner.
- Builds and maintains processes, databases and files.
- Leads quality and compliance processes, ensuring their successful execution and completion.
- Reviews vendor and/or subcontractor contracts and provides recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborates with Representatives from other departments to maintain quality and timelines for compliance activities, such as audits and procedural documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Professional Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of government and state regulations, contract documents and legal specifications required.
- Relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative decision-making capabilities.
- Must be organized, proactive, professional, and have a strong sense of customer relations skills.
- Quick learner, strong collaboration; exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Organized self-starter, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
- Needs to be able to work in team or independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multi-task between competing priorities.
- Relevant Training and/or Certifications in Compliance preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
