Job Description
GALT Aerospace is seeking a Full Time Senior Accountant to handle the following:
- Assist the accounting manager/controller with the full cycle of the month end closing process with proper journal entries and account reconciliations
- Book all AP and AR transactions
- Process vendor payments and matching to purchase orders
- Manage cash forecast and cash transactions
- Book and reconcile the company credit card transactions
- Process expense reports and reconcile travel costs to projects and GL ledgers
- Validate and post labor cost distribution and reconcile labor cost to the payroll ledger
- Book payroll transactions and journal entries
- Analyze and reconcile project financial data
- Generate, validate and submit customer invoices
- Support CPA reviews, DCAA audits and GAAP and FAR compliance
- Assist with policies and procedures reviews, updates or create new policies or procedures as needed
- Perform periodic financial analysis of indirect costs and variances to the budget
- Assist the Accounting Manager with any accounting functions
- Maintain Charge Code Authorization Process
- Learn and utilize Unanet accounting system
- Manage Project structure, WBS and project assignments
- Work well with all other departments
- Assist with the quarterly and annual budgeting process
- Understand and assist with the indirect rates tracking and variances
- Any other projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager/Controller or the CFO
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
- BS or BA degree
- 10 years of accounting experience
- US Citizen
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge and skills
- Knowledge and experience with all types of Government contracts (CPFF,FFP,T&M,other)
- Knowledge and experience with FAR, CAS and DCAA compliance
- Knowledge and experience WAWF/DFAS Government payment system and processes
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Great attention to detail
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills, Experience and Education
- Familiarity with Unanet ERP system

Pay Scale
At GALT Aerospace, base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,000-$135,000, and a specific candidate's base pay will depend on their skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
