Galveston County Health District is seeking dedicated Attending Paramedic to provide lifesaving emergency medical care and safe patient transport. This role involves responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, stabilizing patients, and ensuring seamless transfer to medical facilities while operating within protocol and scope of practice.

What You'll Do :
- Assess patient condition, prioritize treatment, and call for additional resources if needed.
- Provide on-scene emergency or non-emergency care, ensuring patient safety & comfort.
- Assist in patient extrication and transfer to an ambulance.
- Administer lifesaving interventions, including medications and advanced airway management.
- Maintain ongoing patient care & monitoring during transport.
- Operate under standing orders and protocols from the Medical Director.
- Relay critical patient information (vital signs, medical status) via radio to hospitals.
- Request professional treatment advice & authorization as needed.
- Accurately document all patient care in the electronic Patient Care Report (ePCR) system.
- Ensure ambulance, medical supplies, and equipment remain in operational readiness.
- Perform minor repairs and report major mechanical issues.
- Maintain clean & stocked ambulances per protocol.
- Maintain legible records and compliance documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
