What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Management Technician position at Galveston County?
- The purpose of this class is to assist in the coordination and technical support of the Court administration.
- Monitors and tracks the status of cases assigned for the day.
- Maintains the monthly calendar; scheduling and rescheduling hearings and trials.
- Maintaining and filing of records for department.
- Reviews reports detailing criminal cases and criminal case dispositions.
- Research and review of felony caseload data.
- Appoints criminal defense attorneys to criminal cases of indigent defendants, when required.
- Assists in management of felony cases pending trial where defendant is incarcerated.
- Prepare, write and maintain statistical reports.
- Performs data entry in support of documentation with the Judges' signature.
- Answers telephone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; refers to appropriate personnel.
- Acts as substitute court coordinator during absences and perform all duties of the official court coordinator
- Assists Administrative Coordinator, when necessary.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
- Requires six months of administrative experience in criminal justice, social services, case management or closely related experience.
