Facilitates Technician I

• Replaces lighting ballasts and bulbs
• Replaces or repairs security cameras
• Maintains and repairs security door locks
• Maintains smoke alarms
• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical malfunctions
• Repairs all plumbing systems,  including sump pumps, fountain pump motors, and landscape irrigation.
• Maintains and repairs HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning)  systems
• Repairs bathroom fixtures
• Provides building and property access for sub-contractors
• Delivers building supplies, bathroom and office items, and keys
• Maintains common work area, tools and equipment
• Able to report regularly for work and be on time.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  Requires one year of providing minor maintenance of facilities or closely related experience.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement. Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken. The work is typically performed while sitting, standing, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, climbs and operates tools or equipment. The work is typically performed in an office and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee is exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery and chemicals.
