This position oversees and directs the daily support of all IT/IS services, and manages the execution (budget, schedule, and performance) of all Galvion strategic IT/IS programs worldwide. To include, U.S., Montreal, Canada and Gdansk, Poland locations.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Holds departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promotes team building and works to provide career growth for staff
- Provides day-to-day supervision, conducts performance appraisals, and delegates work assignments for all IT/IS personnel
- Assists in recruiting, hiring, and providing appropriate training for IT/IS support staff
- Oversees the management of corporate help desk activities and resolves escalated issues if necessary. Analyzes help desk requests and uses findings to propose changes and/or improvements to reduce repeat complaints
Enterprise Systems
- Provides leadership and develop processes for the review and selection of business software for Galvion.
- Provides oversight for Galvion’s ERP system (INFOR) to include module selection, upgrades, maintenance, etc.
- Provides management and oversight of all automation and production software (e.g. Minitab, Unipoint, doc control, etc.)
- Provides management and oversight of all engineering, design and development software (e.g. Solidworks, Salesforce, etc.)
- Provides guidance and support for visual (paperless) data management in manufacturing areas Cyber Security
- Maintains responsibility for all layers of cyber security
- Works with Galvion CSO to plan and implement IT & IS solutions for data security requirements
- Understands, designs and recommends solutions that adhere to continually improving security best practices
- Informs, promotes, and develops security standards in all facets of business operations and customer data management
- Ensures IT/IS systems comply with various regulations such as ISO, DFARS, ITAR, CCG, CE , etc. Infrastructure/Network Management
- Plans, Coordinates, and implements major modifications to existing network infrastructure with business units and corporate leaders
- Oversees and ensures optimization and availability of Galvion WAN
- Establishes and develops policies and procedures for infrastructure, information security and disaster recovery
- Anticipates future network needs and identifies proactive solutions and costs
- Other duties as assigned
- Oversees and maintains an integrated IT/IS budget working with the finance department to measure expected return-on-investment and other cost factors
- Helps establish periodic (monthly, quarterly, annually) efficient required financial data reporting for the business units and corporate CFO
- Works closely with internal and external constituents, develops and recommends IT/IS strategic direction for Galvion
- Ensures IT/IS strategic direction is in alignment with Galvion’s goals and business unit requirements
- Based on IT/IS best practices, aligns IT/IS organizational structure with the overall needs of Galvion
- Provides leadership and oversight for the resources responsible for the execution of IT/IS requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in technical operations management and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience in complex work environments.
- Demonstrated broad knowledge of ERP systems, networks, hardware, and software systems, vendor and contract management.
- Prior experience building business systems particularly relating to the Business Intelligence Data and Analytics.
- Demonstrated knowledge with ERP upgrades, improvements, modifications and implementations.
- Proven experience building IT/IS driven solutions and dashboards for reporting to executive leadership.
- Proficiency in computer applications to include Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (English mandatory, French is a plus) and inter-personnel skills to engage with multiple stakeholders.
