Position : Litigation Special Counsel Complex Construction Cases
Location : Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, Tampa
Duration : Full-time

Description :
The client is seeking an experienced Special Counsel with at least 6 years of litigation experience to join their Litigation Department in one of their Florida offices (Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, or Tampa). This full-time, non-partner track position will focus on Complex Litigation Construction matters, specifically multi-party construction defect cases . The ideal candidate must be confident in working autonomously and capable of handling complex legal issues related to construction litigation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage multi-party construction defect litigation matters.
- Conduct discovery , draft substantive dispositive motions , and handle depositions .
- Provide courtroom or arbitration experience, with some exposure to trial or evidentiary hearings .
- Work independently while ensuring effective time management and organization of tasks.
- Demonstrate a strong command of oratory, research , and writing skills .
- Have a baseline understanding of insurance risk transfer issues related to property damage claims .
