Bartender/Server

Game Arena (Columbus, OH) is now accepting applications for bartenders! If you’re down to learn and have a good time in a fun, upbeat environment - this is the job for you! This is also an awesome opportunity if you’re interested in gaming industry and working with passionate, like-minded people.

We are a PC gaming bar & restaurant. We have a full bar and kitchen on one half and PCs, consoles and Red Bull racing simulators on the other. We also have tournament rooms and an upstairs lounge with a TV setups and an oversized projector. Our staff culture is very team-oriented. We pick each other up to get things done and have a great time doing it.

Our current weekday hours are 11a-12a and weekends 12p-2a. We host parties, esports tournaments and other events throughout the week along with our regular facility hours.

We are located on North High Street beside the Gateway Movie Theater.

Job Description

All openings are part-time, up to 15 hours per work week. Shifts typically start in the evenings and range from 6-8 hours. You’ll know in advance if you’re scheduled to work events. This is the perfect position for college students or recent grads looking for flexible hours and an enjoyable work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and event patrons
• Mix ingredients to prepare our specialty cocktails as well as common ones
• Interact with, take orders from and serve customer within the bar and seating area
• Have a server/waiter mentality when taking care of customers
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences to make recommendations accordingly
• Provide overall excellent customer service and positive experiences for guests
• Cleaning, restocking and organizing the bar and seating areas as required
• Willing to learn the basic of the Gaming section of our facility

This includes knowledge of upcoming events, basic game time prices and systems that are offered as well as the ability to easily discuss the venue's appeal with customers.

Bartenders are expected to be on their feet for the majority of the shift.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• 6 - 12 months of bartender/server experience preferred
• Willingness to learn
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with confidence
• Excellent communication skills
• High standard of customer service
• Team player with awesome work ethic
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds

Pay: From $5.05 per hour plus tips
