Floor Associate

Game Arena (Columbus, OH) is now accepting applications for Floor Associate! If you’re down to learn and have a good time in a fun, upbeat environment - this is the job for you! We are a PC gaming bar & restaurant. We have a full bar and kitchen on one half and high end PCs, consoles and Red Bull racing simulators on the other. We also have tournament rooms and an upstairs lounge with a TV setups and an oversized projector. Our staff culture is very team-oriented. We pick each other up to get things done and have a great time doing it.

Our current weekday hours are 12p-12a and weekends 12p-2a. We host parties, esports tournaments and other events throughout the week along with our regular facility hours.

We are located on North High Street beside the Gateway Movie Theater.

Job Description

All positions are part-time, up to 30 hours per work week. The shifts usually range from 6-8 hours. You’ll know in advance if you’re scheduled to work events. This is the perfect position for college students or recent grads looking for flexible hours and an enjoyable work environment.

Responsibilities

• Using register and answering phone calls
• Assisting customers with account creation and game time purchases
• Troubleshooting common computer and console issues
• Event/Party setup and execution
• Taking customer food orders and running food within the facility
• Having a server/waiter mentality when taking care of customers
• Assessing customers’ preferences for games to make recommendations accordingly
• Providing overall excellent customer service and positive experiences for guests
• Cleaning, restocking and organizing the Gaming Lounge
• Discussing our offered services and deals with new and returning customers

Floor Staff are expected to be on their feet for the majority of the shift.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge in computers and gaming consoles
• Willingness to work late hours (12p-2a)
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with confidence
• Excellent communication skills
• High standard of customer service
• Team player attitude
• Awesome work ethic
• Able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years of age
