What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Gameplay Supervisor position at Game On Escape Rooms?
What is gamemastering?:
A game master or gamemaster oversees gameplay during a multiplayer, role-playing game, or another type of contest. Some employers refer to this position as a GM. Your duties include ensuring that all players follow the rules during the game. You organize gameplay and make sure that players know the rules before they join the contest. You officiate during the game, correct rule breaches when necessary, and moderate when disputes arise. You perform your responsibilities in person for live-action role-playing games.
Responsiblities Include:
- Playing each room after being hired to have a better understanding of the rooms
- Talking to customers and explaining the objectives of the rooms
- Attentively monitor game activity to ensure a fun experience for the customers
- Memorizing steps and resetting rooms correctly
- Opening and closing duties (such as taking out the trash, vacuuming, charging batteries, and making sure everything is orderly)
Requirements:
- Detailed oriented
- Good observation skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Comfortable engaging with both small and large groups of people
- Ability to work late nights (the last game ending at 11:45)
- Being able to be called in sometimes with short notice
Required education and experience:
- High school or equivalent
- Acting or drama experience is helpful
- Basic technology skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
