What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level Sports Photographer position at Game Over Photos LLC?
Game Over Photos is looking for an entry-level sports photographer to take action photos primarily on weekends near Orlando, FL.
If you are interested in photography, youth sports, and fun competitive environments, this position is for you!
This position offers a lot of opportunities on weekends and sometimes weekdays (especially during the summer). There will be paid training to start, then we will work out a schedule (we know 90% of shoot dates for the year in advance). There will be flexibility, but there is a need to cover a lot of hours on Saturdays and Sundays. We are searching for someone who has a lot of availability on weekends, the more the better.
We have events we cover throughout the year, but a majority of our tournaments take place between March and September. We are looking to train now to have you ready for our biggest events in July.
While photography experience is not absolutely required, it is preferred. You will be handling professional sports cameras we provide for a majority of your time. The main sport we cover is basketball, so knowledge of the sport is definitely a plus!
Here is what we require from our entry-level sports photographers:
- Reliability is the #1 trait we look for. If you agree to arrive at a certain time on a certain date, you must be there without fail.
- Emphasis on availability on weekends. Availability during summer weekdays is a plus!
- Reliable transportation is required, as you will be driving to the venues for tournaments.
- Must be able to dress appropriately. No graphic tees or gym clothing. Typically we wear polos.
- Ability to take constructive criticism, as we review your photos and give feedback.
- Good communication skills and good attitude. You will be interacting with youth athletes and their families while representing our brand.
As stated before, photography experience is helpful but not required. We invest in any photographers who have the right attitude and we will train anyone who is willing to learn our standards and become a quality photographer. Anyone who consistently meets the standards will have many other opportunities with us in the future.
If you meet all of the requirements, please submit your resume and relevant experience to this indeed post. If you have any relevant photo background, feel free to share past work. If we proceed with you, we will have a video call meeting and discuss training from there.
