What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Premium Seating and Hospitality position at Gamecock Club?
Assistant Director of Premium Seating and Hospitality Reporting to Sr Director of Premium Seating and Events for Gamecock Club. Responsible for managing hospitality and gameday readiness in premium seating areas during football, basketball and baseball season. Responsible for managing staffing in premium areas at Williams-Brice Stadium, Founders Park and Colonial Life Arena as it pertains to Development representatives and South Carolina Athletics Hospitality students. Responsible for assisting w/ planning and executing large-scale Development office events.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage gameday aspects of premium area readiness for football, basketball and baseball games, including student staffing, club catering, beverage stocking, hospitality items, security staffing, AV maintenance and custodial checks. Perform pre and post-game checks of all premium areas of athletics venues.
- Execute recruiting, hiring, training and staffing of 50 student workers for football premium areas. Manage student workers to include recruiting and staffing for basketball and baseball hospitality areas. Monitor / supervise payroll processes for gameday staffers including but not limited to necessary background checks, approving weekly work hours, etc.
- Assist with planning and executing large-scale Gamecock Club, Development and Athletics events including but not limited to Garnet Society receptions, Hall of Fame inductions, Facility Openings, Open Houses, post-season events and additional events throughout the year.
- Manage new and existing suite holder documents including contracts, renewals and invoices for approximately 70 suite holders.
- Serve as liaison for premium area catering and menu selection for football, basketball and baseball. Manage premium area catering budgetary concerns and coordinate attendance and catering logistics with business office and caterer.
- Prepare and distribute premium seating communications including pre-season logistic information and in season donor and season ticket holder communications.
- Working closely w/ Athletics sales team, manage new seating inquiries and assist w/ responses to general premium seating questions. Represent the Department of Athletics in a positive fashion by interacting well with donors, fans, alumni and community members. Maintain institutional integrity through compliance with NCAA, SEC and USC policies, rules and regulations. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requires a bachelor's degree and 1 or more years of experience, which may be substituted with an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Some experience in collegiate athletics development / fundraising or event rentals is strongly preferred.
