Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical systems and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and medical histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
- Perform procedures as necessary, including infection control measures and cardiac catheterization.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation and patient management.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient care practices.
- Provide support in a Level I Trauma Center environment, ensuring readiness for emergency situations.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy and ventilate patients as required during procedures or emergencies.
Experience
- A Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent is required.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant state licensure.
- Previous experience in Ophthalmology or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.
- Strong background in infection control practices is essential.
- Experience working within clinical research settings is advantageous.
