Who We Are
GameOn!Fitness is a local health and wellness organization that exists to build community and cultivate a culture of health, mental, and physical fitness for the purpose of growing healthy humans. We serve people of all ages throughout Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and the surrounding areas. We offer personal and group training, team and character building, public speaking, youth development and recess programming, health & fitness pop-ups, sports rallies, and more.
Who We Are Seeking
GOF is looking for enthusiastic educators and/or trainers who have at least two years of experience working with grades K-8 to join our team of coaches. At GOF, we use SEL practices and techniques through gameplay to prepare young scholars to better integrate their lessons in the classroom, on the playground, and beyond. Our team of coaches is responsible for managing, supervising, and facilitating restorative recess periods and our specialized GameTime Coaches Programs at Baltimore City and Baltimore County Public Schools.
We focus on building rapport and working in collaboration with students, teachers, administrators, and GameOn!Fitness staff to create a positive and safe recess and classroom environment.
Vital aspects of the job include monthly training, becoming consistent and familiar role models for scholars in our care, and completing vital administrative tasks including mandatory reporting that consists of: Class Presentations, Weekly Goals & Objectives, Weekly Wrap Reports, and Lesson Plans.
To Be Successful in This Role You Should...
- Be comfortable serving and engaging large groups of elementary and middle school-aged students.
- Have a desire to learn skills in youth development, group management, relationship rapport building, and game facilitation.
- Be familiar with SEL practices and lesson planning.
- Be able to engage and inspire students, be flexible, creative, and responsive.
