- Providing genuine and friendly assistance to every customer during each visit.
- Demonstrating clear verbal and written communication and listening skills, both in person and on the phone, using spoken and written English; bilingual English/Spanish speaking and writing skills preferred.
- Working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Meeting associate performance expectations, including attendance, professional dress, and grooming requirements.
- Operating the POS computer system and properly completing the required paperwork.
- Possessing basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and alphabetizing skills.
- Self-motivation and ability to work as a team to complete necessary tasks in a timely manner.
- Problem-solving skills and judgment abilities.
- Following instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Delivering bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines.
- Working a flexible schedule, including extended hours/days as necessary, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Minimum of 3 days/week availability.
- Remaining effective under pressure and handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
- Bending, stooping, reaching with arms/hands, climbing ladders, and lifting merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs. from ground level to a minimum height of 4 feet.
- Standing and moving throughout the store unassisted to provide customer service or perform tasks in any part of the store for up to 10 hours per day.
