Summary
The Merchandising Assistant supports the merchandising team in purchasing, promoting, and distributing GameStop products to drive profitable sales through product assortment, availability, and competitive pricing. The role involves regular interactions with his or her supervisor for guidance and feedback.
This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for all SKU set up and maintenance for in-store and online.
Proof all in-store communications and marketing materials.
Assist with the cover art calendar and planogram as needed.
Set up price promotions and price protections.
Prepare, maintain, and update merchandising data, reports, and records.
Actively participate in internal meetings.
Assist with vendor meetings and create vendor marketing contracts for co-op.
Handle routine internal and external inquiries.
Collaborate with merchandising, planning, allocation, marketing, and other departments to achieve goals and improve processes.
Work on special projects as assigned.
Follow organizational policies and uphold high standards of customer service, attendance, confidentiality, and ethics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field.
1-2 years of related professional experience preferred.
Ability to build internal relationships and manage external partnerships.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work efficiently.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
