What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Volleyball Coach position at GameTime?
Job Description
GameTime is looking for a part time coach to teach 1 class per week at our partner school in Porter Ranch. Right now we have volleyball only on Wednesdays after school however if the program grows we may be able to add additional days. The coach would be required to meet at 2:30 every Wednesday and run practice for middler schoolers from 3-5 pm. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the game and has a desire to help others achieve their goals. Our coaches are expected to be , energetic, and enthusiastic. Be ready to coach players of different experience levels. All practices will take place in the school gym and equipment will be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and run practice sessions on Wednesdays 3-5 pm.
- Connect with players and build trust.
- Meet with GameTime directors at 2:30 each Wednesday.
- Create a positive environment for learning and growth
- Instruct students on proper technique and form
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order
- Train new coaches on the rules, equipment, and game rules
- Maintain a clean and organized team area at all times. Clean up equipment after games. Clean up area before games. Keep the court organized at all times. Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Experience:
·Prior experience coaching or playing volleyball.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
