What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter/Housekeeping position at Gaming Entertainment?
Responsibilities include a variety of housekeeping functions throughout all areas of the Casino to ensure a clean, safe environment for customers, team members and visitors. Cleans assigned areas that Supervisor designates daily. Utilizes all safety equipment as mandated by the position. Performs other duties as assigned.
DUTIES
- Assembles needed materials and supplies from the cleaning supply storeroom.
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment, mopping floors, using special solutions and disinfectants.
- Vacuums carpets in offices and guest areas as needed.
- Cleans trash baskets, sinks, mirrors, water fountains, windows, door frames and other high places (using a ladder when necessary) with disinfectant.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, stretch, stoop, bend and climb ladders.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting 25 – 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to visually view area and task assigned.
MENTAL CAPABILITIES
- Ability to communicate with co-workers and public.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheet rules and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work all shifts, including all weekend and holidays.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be capable of working with others as a team player.
- Minimum 18 years old.
- No recent felony convictions.
