Our client is a global law firm seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Associate with expertise in renewable energy matters to join their renowned Real Estate practice. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in property development matters, especially as it pertains to renewable energy projects. You will be working on complex transactions, advising high-profile clients, and contributing to the success of major renewable energy development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and advise leading renewable energy clients on a wide range of property development matters.
- Draft and negotiate real estate transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, letter agreements, and other related documents.
- Provide counsel on utility-scale renewable energy projects, particularly regarding site control, title insurance, and project development.
- Advise clients on purchases, sales, and leasing of real property.
- Collaborate with title companies and surveyors to negotiate title insurance coverage, endorsement language, and survey specifics.
- Review title commitments, prepare closing instructions, and draft and negotiate curative instruments for addressing title defects and other issues.
- Provide high-quality, strategic advice to clients in a dynamic and innovative legal environment.
Key Requirements:
- 7-10 years of legal experience in real estate, with a focus on property development matters.
- Experience in renewable energy project development preferred.
- Strong background in title matters, including the negotiation of title insurance coverage and endorsement language.
- Expertise in reviewing title commitments and drafting closing instructions.
- Experience advising on the purchasing and leasing of real property.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality client service.
