Job Title: Recovery Support Specialist Supervisor | Part time

Job Summary:
To work within the Substance Use Division’s team model to actively promote the philosophy of Gandara Center and maintain a high level of commitment to the program. To supervise direct care staff with assisting clients to remain actively involved in the milieu. To support staff with attending to clients’ needs, especially during stressful and crisis situations. To provide advocacy and safety within the milieu. To notify management immediately in the event of a staff, client, or milieu crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior constituting an incident in the program. To acquire and maintain necessary certifications mandated by the agency and licensing standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To supervise and support direct care staff and conduct regular monthly supervision meetings.
- To provide ongoing training for direct care staff on topics pertaining to their role.
- To maintain supportive contact with residents to continually assess their individual needs, monitor their progress, advocate for them when necessary, and intervene during stressful or crisis situations.
- To develop strong, supportive relationships with the staff providing for their safety, well-being, and professional development.
- To develop, cultivate and manage a positive culture and milieu where individuals feel safe and encouraged to grow.
- To maintain staff records as per licensing standards and adhere to program policies, procedures, and protocols.
- To participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hour crisis management.
- To participate in all staff meetings, supervisions, managers meetings, and trainings to maximize the quality of our service.
- To collaborate closely with Program Director and Clinical Supervisor to enhance the quality of services and continuity of care.
- To provide supervision and support related to medication policies and procedures.
- To complete all paperwork responsibilities including supervision notes, timesheets, schedules, and incident reports in a timely, effective and efficient manner.
- To attend and complete all required trainings pertaining to the Recovery Specialist Supervisory role.
- To transport residents to appointments as needed.
- To participate in the onboarding, termination, and agency disciplinary actions
- To administer and complete the EIM/ESM forms and adhere to funding sources requirements
- To share all program expectations and responsibilities with the recovery support team as needed
- May be required to monitor resident medication and complete hourly checks as needed
- May be required to assist with the intake process including but not limited to documentation, signing of releases, and orientation to the program
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the human services field or four years of experience working with individuals with SUD or MH disorders in a residential, outreach, inpatient, or outpatient setting.
- Past Supervisory experience is required.
- CPR Certification is required.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, ability to meet the agency’s driving requirements, and ability to assume travel assignments related to work.
