Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist to join our team at a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of dental office procedures.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
  • Process medical collections and manage billing inquiries with accuracy.
  • Review documentation to ensure all patient records are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Utilize phone systems effectively to communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in coding procedures using ICD-9 standards when necessary.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality while handling sensitive information related to care plans.
  • File patient records systematically for easy retrieval and reference.

Skills

  • Proficiency in medical collection processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with dental clinic operations and terminology is preferred.
  • Strong documentation review skills to ensure accuracy in patient records.
  • Knowledge of coding practices, particularly ICD-9, is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
  • Ability to operate phone systems efficiently, managing multiple calls as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for filing and record management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
